ANNUAL GATTI & ASSOCIATES SUMMER SURVEY 

Results

We are very pleased with the response that we received for the 2003 survey.   Our questions related to the degree of readiness that companies have as the business marketplace improves.  We prefaced the survey by saying that Historically, as we get closer to an economic turnaround, companies begin to strategize relative to two things that affect their current and future employee population.  We asked:

  • Do you have programs in place to deal with the retention of key players?
YES                 79.1%
NO                  20.9%
  • Please list the top two initiatives in regard to the retention of key players.  
    Here are the two that came out on top:
1. Compensation Programs – (Stock, Salary, Bonuses)
2. Company Talent Analysis – (Resulting in special training and development opportunities)

1. Selective, pro-active recruiting – (Internet, third parties, branding, networking, referral programs, school relations, special interview training)
2. Compensation – (Pay, Benefits, Stock, Relocation)
