Senior Director, Compensation

Our client is a Boston based, 12000-employee Global Consulting firm.

Responsible for the development, design, implementation and administration of the compensation programs worldwide including salary, annual and long-term incentive plans.  The Senior Director will ensure alignment of compensation policies and strategy.  Reporting to the SVP of Human Resources, the Head of Compensation will lead a small staff in maintaining and improving compensation programs.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the design, implementation, and administration of worldwide compensation programs including salary, annual and long-term incentive plans, ensuring alignment with corporate compensation policies and strategy.  

  • Coordinates the development of future models for compensation administration and design consistent with corporate strategy.                                

  • Manages the administration of division's executive equity programs including distribution of shares, and/or payouts for employees worldwide.       

  • Directs the rollout and communication activities of corporate and regional compensation programs.                                                        

  • Interfaces with all levels of senior management, including CEO to determine salary, annual and stock based incentive allocation.                                  

  • Develops and recommends departmental plan of organization and staffing.     

  • Conducts periodic performance reviews and provides for the ongoing guidance, training, and direction to staff in developing and implementing plans and objectives.              

Minimum Job Specifications:

  • Ability to thrive in fast paced global environment.        

  • Prior experience in consulting or professional services firm preferable                                                      

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree with 10 plus years of compensation administration and/or operations experience.                                   

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.                          

  • Demonstrated analytical skills.                                             

  • Ability to manage variety of projects in an effective manner.  

  • Proficient in various software applications.                                

  • Strong attention to detail.                                                 

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation from WorldatWork is a plus.
