Human Resources Partner - Organizational
Development and Training

Our client, one of the leading international educational institutions in the instruction of contemporary music, is searching for an HR Partner of Organizational Development and Training who will provide proactive and strategic HR leadership and consultation to departments. 

By understanding the departmental environment and objectives, the HR Partner will help strategize and deliver solutions through effective HR management.  The HR Partner is responsible for the delivery of HR programs and services in the areas of employee relations, manager coaching and consultation, and performance management.  The HR Partner will act as a resource to the HR staff in areas of OD and training by assisting in the development of management Development, staff development and OD Interventions for departments as needed and in determining how OD or training initiatives can be used as a tool for management and/or employee issues.

The HR Partner - OD & Training will:

  • Lead HR support to assigned client areas, providing consultation and delivery of HR programs and services to achieve business plans. 

  • Define, build and implement value-added HR strategies and solutions.

  • Act as an internal partner to managers and employees by providing coaching and advice on a range of organizational and change issues.

  • Partner with other members of the HR team to deliver customized programs and services to client areas, which address OD, performance management, compensation and employee relations.

  • Provide employee relations expertise, which ensures compliance to policies and procedures, in addition to state and federal laws.  Investigate employee relations issues and recommend appropriate action.

  • Work with managers and employees in identifying and addressing performance related issues.  Provide coaching and support to managers on corrective action issues.

  • Partner with managers on establishing an effective sourcing strategy.

  • Interpret policies and provide counsel and guidance to managers and employees concerning work related issues.

  • Identify key trends and collaborate with other members of the HR team to provide recommendations and solutions.

  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze data and makes recommendations to the management team for continuous improvement.

  • May act a team member on various HR committees or college-wide programs, projects or teams.

Organizational Development/Training Responsibilities:

  • Deliver training as needed such as: new employee orientation, management development, departmental trainings, performance evaluation training, difficult conversations, "I Opt", etc.

  • Work with outside consultants to create training opportunities for management and staff.

  • Content development and research.

  • Training coordination and branding, including messaging and material creation.

Requirements:

If you have 5+ years of human resources experience at a professional level, with knowledge of OD/Training’s use in an organization in all areas of HR, (training modes and content creation, owning a training initiative from concept to execution and training delivery); knowledge of employment laws and practice, previous staffing and employee relations experience, excellent interpersonal and coaching skill, and are comfortable with a consultative approach to delivering HR services, this position is for you!

Base salary range of $75-85K.  Local candidates only please.
