To find out what version of AOL you are running, start your AOL and click Help then select About America Online. The help panel will then display the current version. If you are not running AOL 9.0 (or higher) you may not have the correct version of Microsoft's IE browser. If your version of AOL is not at least version 9.0 be sure to check the version of IE on your computer.

If you need to upgrade to the current version of IE, there are two options available to you:

  5. Delete Cookies, Temporary Files and Clear History

Delete cached Internet files from Internet Explorer's Temporary Internet files folder, locally-stored Web site information (cookies), and the history of viewed Web page addresses. Old information in these settings may cause problems when trying to log on to Outlook Web Access.

Click the Tools option, then click Internet Options

The Internet Options panel is displayed. Perform the following on this panel.
  • Click Delete Cookies then click OK to remove any cookies.
  • Click Delete Files. Place a check mark in the Delete All Offline Content Box and click OK. Depending on the amount of temporary files on your computer, this step may take a few minutes to complete.

     GATTI\username

For example: The username for John Doe would be jdoe.

This user would normally only enter jdoe in the User Name box; however, if this user needs to include the domain name along with the username, this user can enter the following:
     GATTI\jdoe
