GattiHR, a leading talent solutions company and the country’s largest HR specialized search firm, announced that it is using its high-velocity recruiting and training platform TalentBoost to help a global public utility company quickly fill a pressing need—more offshore wind turbine operators.

TalentBoost will source, train and onboard hundreds of qualified technicians to work 15 miles off the coast of Martha’s Vineyard at Vineyard Wind 1, an 800-megawatt project under construction and the country’s first utility-scale offshore wind energy project. The venture represents the start of a major energy transition in New England and the entire U.S., with TalentBoost hand-delivering the qualified workforce project leaders need.

But there aren’t yet enough workers to get the job done. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, wind turbine technicians will experience the highest surge in job growth over the next 10 years. However, a glaring talent deficit remains: There are fewer than 7,000 wind technicians nationwide.
